Case Studies

In todays session Jo Spencer went through what a case study was and how to create one for our research PDF for the ICA project.
-A research strategy to discover patterns, causes of behavior
-A specific way of presenting research
-An in-depth study of an individual, group or event
-Focused into one specific event, group or individual
-Clearly presented analysis of the research collected

Whilst gathering research it was hard to think how I would layout and edit the information about my different case studies. Jo suggested these categories to bear in mind when creating a case study to condense the information.
Who      What      Where      When      Why

Jo also went through how to present research and data collected in a visually exciting way. As we have to create a 20 page research pdf for our ICA project I found this really helpful and appropriate, as I didn't want to show people 20 pages of photographs and text!
I like how the highlighted green labels on the pie chart clearly shows the informations and it stand out but also is a bit different and still visually exciting.

I like the way that the 'YES' and 'NO' images are a visually exciting way of displaying information and perhaps because the work is aesthetically pleasing it may encourage readers to pay more attention to the information being displayed. Definitely something I will need to consider when creating and displaying my research especially as I think it is something I haven't paid as much detail to in past research projects.
