This week I worked in a group taking pictures of Elephant and Castle for our blog. This photograph in particular inspired me as it is representative of how design can go wrong. The function of a subway is to deliver passengers safely from one place to another however the blind corners and dark alleys make this subway a hub for crime and, along with the signage, very confusing to follow. It is a brilliant example of how concentrating on the aesthetics of a design can take away from the ultimate functional needs that are required. It has inspired me to keep in mind the main objectives of my future briefs at all times throughout the process.
